Financial scenarios in Sculptor — branch assumptions, compare unit economics, save to the workspace
By Sculptor team
After /finance completes, explore what-if scenarios on CAC, churn, ARPU, and growth; compare metrics side by side in the workspace or try templates in the finance playground.

Text-only finance outputs are hard to stress-test. You tweak churn in a spreadsheet, lose the link to your Strategy Pack, and nobody on the team sees the same numbers. Financial scenarios in Sculptor let you branch what-if assumptions from a completed /finance phase asset, recalculate CAC, LTV, payback, and revenue lines, and compare scenarios side by side — persisted in your organisation workspace.
Why scenarios exist
The Finance phase (/finance) produces FINC-style unit economics and runway sketches. That is the seed model. Founders and finance leads still need to ask:
- What if churn is 2 points higher?
- What if we delay the enterprise sales hire?
- Does the wedge work if CAC rises 30%?
Re-running the full agent for every tweak is slow. Scenarios reuse the parsed finance model, let you adjust assumptions interactively, and keep branches named and comparable inside the project library.
Workspace flow: Explore scenarios
Prerequisites:
- Organisation cloud workspace project.
- A completed
/financephase saved as a typed asset bundle in the library. - Editor or admin role to create or delete scenarios (guests can view).
Steps:
- Open the parent finance asset from the library or strategy rail.
- Click Explore scenarios in the asset preview.
- The base scenario stays locked — it mirrors the original model from the agent output.
- Create derived scenarios by changing assumptions (sliders and inputs in the scenario builder).
- Save each branch — it becomes a child asset linked in the parent bundle manifest.
- Open comparison view to see deltas for CAC, LTV, LTV:CAC, payback, and revenue projection rows.
- Delete branches you no longer need.
Currency on every amount follows the project currency code (set under Project details → Currency in the workspace). Set EUR, GBP, USD, or another supported ISO code once; finance tables and scenario cards stay consistent.
Finance playground: learn before you run the pack
/tools/finance-scenarios is a standalone surface for assumption literacy:
- Pick a business model template (SaaS subscription, marketplace, physical product, service, consulting).
- Branch scenarios in the browser session — adjust churn, pricing, CAC, and related levers.
- Compare metrics in the same scenario comparison UI used in the workspace.
- When you are ready, use Save to workspace: choose an organisation project and an existing
/financephase asset, then persist one or all session scenarios.
Open the playground from the workspace header (Financial scenarios) or go directly to /tools/finance-scenarios. If you arrive from a project, the playground defaults template and currency from the project brief (offering type and currency settings).
Note: The playground does not replace a full
/financeStrategy Pack phase — it helps you explore templates and save branches once a finance asset exists. Run/financein Chat or Agentic when you need FINC-001 outputs grounded in your pack.
How this connects to FinanceAgent
FinanceAgent (/finance) | Financial scenarios UI | |
|---|---|---|
| Output | Markdown + typed bundle (tables, assumptions) | Interactive assumption edits |
| Trigger | Agentic run or /finance slash command | User opens asset preview → Explore scenarios |
| Persistence | Parent phase asset | Child scenario assets under parent |
The agent generates the seed; scenarios parse and recalculate that seed without another LLM call.
